George III (1760-1820),copper Penny, 1797, small laureate and draped bust right, K:. raised on truncation for engraver C H Kuchler, wreath with eleven leaves and more outward pointing end to ribbon, legend incuse on raised rim, GEORGIUS III. D: G. REX.,rev.Britannia seated left on rock with trident and shield, holding olive branch, ship sailing right to left, SOHO raised on rock below, tri-pellets incuse on rock to right, date incuse on rim below, BRITANNIA. (Peck 1133; S.3777).Toned, with a hint of lustre, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as MS62 BN, the rarer wreath variety.

NGC certification 6032091-005.

The Latin legends translate as on obverse "George III, by the grace of God, King" and on the reverse "of Britain."
