George III 1773 Farthing

George III (1760-1820), copper Farthing, 1773, first obverse, laureate and cuirassed bust right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS. III. REX. rev. Britannia seated left on globe with spear and olive branch, date in exergue (Peck 911; S.3775). Uneven toning with a little residual lustre and a few tiny spots, extremely fine.

The Latin legends translate as on obverse "George III King" and on the reverse "of the Britons."
