George III (1760-1820), copper Halfpenny, 1772, GEORIVS error, first obverse, laureate and cuirassed bust right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding both sides, GEORIVS. III. REX. with the second G omitted in error, rev. second type, Britannia seated left on globe with spear and olive branch, without ball below spear blade, date in exergue, BRITAN NIA. (Peck 900; S.3774). Toned brown, some light wear, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as AU55BN and rare.

The Latin legends translate as on obverse "George III King" and on the reverse "of the Britains."
