George II (1727-60),silver Penny, 1752/0 2 over 0 in date, young laureate and draped bust left, legend surrounds, GEORGIVS. II. DEI. GRATIA.,rev.crowned mark of value, date either side of crown, legend reads MAG. BRI. FR. ET. HIB. REX., weight 0.50g (Bull.1833; ESC.2344; Robinson p.159:224 [i]; S.3715a). Toned, somewhat haymarked, pleasing a bold very fine and scarce.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "George II by the Grace of God," and on reverse as "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland

The 1752 Penny is the only small silver coin of this date there being no maundy set available.
