George II (1727-60), silver Maundy Set, 1746, Fourpence, Threepence with 6 over 3, Twopence, Penny with doubled 6, young laureate bust left, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding both sides, GEORGIVS. II. DEI. GRATIA., rev. crowned mark of value, date either side of crown, legend commences upper right MAG BRI FR ET HIB REX (Bull.1773; Robinson 219, 220, 221 (i), 222 ESC.2410; S.3716). Toned, generally good very fine or better, the Fourpence very fine.
The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on the obverse "George the second by the Grace of God" and on the reverse "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland."
