George II (1727-60), gold Two Guineas, 1739, young laureate head left, legend surrounding, GEORGIVS. II. DEI. GRATIA., variety with stop immediately after II, rev. crowned quartered shield of arms, date either side of crown, abbreviated Latin legend, M.B.F.ET.H. REX. F.D.B.ET.L.D.S.R.I.A.T.ET.E edge grained, (Scneider obv.6/rev.7; MCE.291; S.3667B). Toned, has been graded and slabbed by PCGS as AU55.

PCGS Certification 875104.55/35604956.

The Latin legends translate as on obverse "George II by the Grace of God" and continues on to the reverse as "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland, Defender of the Faith, Duke of Brunswick and Luneberg, High Treasurer and Elector of the Holy Roman Empire".
