George II (1727-60), silver Groat of Fourpence, 1737, young laureate bust left, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding both sides, GEORGIVS. II. DEI. GRATIA., rev, crowned mark of value, date either side of crown, legend commences upper right, .MAG. BRI. FR. ET. HIB. REX., weight 1.97g (Bull.1780; ESC.1902; S.3712). Toned, almost very fine.

The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on the obverse "George the second by the Grace of God" and on the reverse "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland."
