George II 1730 proof Farthing, young laureat head

George II (1727-60), copper Proof Farthing, 1730, laureate and cuirassed bust left, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS. II. REX. rev. inverted die axis, Britannia seated left on globe with shield, holding spear and branch, date in exergue below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, BRITAN NIA. weight 5.24g (Peck 857; S.3720). Toned, one slight nick on neck, otherwise extremely fine and rare.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "George the Second, King" and on the reverse "of Britain"
