George I (1714-27), Rosa Americana, Twopence, 1723, struck in bath metal, by William Wood for colonial use, laureate head right, legend surrounding, GEORGIUS. D. G. MAG. BRI. FRA. ET. HIB. REX., rev. crowned rose, banner below with UTILE DVLCE, legend above ROSA. AMERICANA. 1723., weight 14.38g (Breen 92; Nelson 14). Dished with uneven patina of light Verdigris and discolouration, otherwise fine.

The legend translates as "George by the grace of God, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland" on the obverse and on the reverse as "American Rose, useful and pleasant"
