Galerius (A.D. 305-311), Gold Aureus. Mint of Cyzicus (?), struck as Caesar, A.D. 293. MAXIMIANVS NOB CAES, laureate head facing right, rev. CONCORDI-AE AVGG NN, Diocletian and Maximian seated left, each holding a globe and a parazonium, Victory flying above and crowning them, 5.36g., 6h (RIC -; Depeyrot 13/5 (these dies); Calicó -; BMC -). Well-struck in high relief and lustrous, extremely fine and extremely rare, in NGC holder MS, Strike 5/5 Surface 4/5.
