The second coin in the City Views series focuses on the City of Rome, one of the oldest continuously occupied cities in the world. The Rome City View Coin features a bird-eye view of the city from the Janiculum hill taken from a sketch by Jacques Alphonse Testard in the early 19th century.

The Latin legend translates as "Queen Elizabeth the second, by the grace of God, Defender of the Faith."
