Elizabeth II (1952 -), gold proof Two-Pounds, 2014, bi-metallic issue struck for the Centenary of the outbreak of war, crowned head right, IRB initials below for designer Ian Rank-Broadley, Latin legend surrounding in red gold, ELIZABETH II. D. G. REG. FID. DEF. TWO POUNDS., yellow gold centre insert offset causing TWO POUNDS to be split lengthwise, rev. a depiction of Lord Kitchener pointing with the inscription 'YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU' below of the effigy of Kitchener and the inscription 'THE FIRST WORLD WAR 1914-1918' and the date '2014', with the edge inscription 'THE LAMPS ARE GOING OUT ALL OVER EUROPE', by designer John Bergdahl, 15.97g (S. K34). Rare and almost immaculate, graded by NGC as PF69 ULTRA CAMEO.

Production standards for gold coins are very strict, and so errors such as these are very rarely allowed to leave the Mint. This is the first of this type that we have seen.
