Elizabeth II 2007 proof Two-Pounds Act of Union
Elizabeth II (1952-2022), gold proof Two-Pounds, 2007, for the 300th Anniversary of the Act of Union between Scotland and England. Crowned head right in 22 carat yellow gold, IRB initials below for designer Ian Rank-Broadley, Latin legend surrounding, ELIZABETH II. DEI. GRA. REG. FID. DEFR. rev. design dividing the coin into four quarters, with a rose and a thistle occupying two of the quarters, and a portcullis in each of the other two quarters. The whole is overlaid with a jigsaw motif and surrounded by the dates '1707' and '2007' and the denomination 'TWO POUNDS', with edge inscription 'UNITED INTO ONE KINGDOM', YH for designer Yvonne Holton (S. K22). Proof state in original Royal Mint box of Issue with certificate of authenticity.
