II. DEI. GRA REGINA. FID. DEF, rev. moving figure of an athlete holding a banner, the top of which being divided into lines to symbolize lanes of a running track or swimming pool, each Two-Pounds bearing a cameo of a different flag representing the four home nations of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, monogram MB for designer Matthew Bonaccorsi to the lower left, value to the right and inscription XVII COMMONWEALTH GAMES 2002, edge inscribed SPIRIT OF FRIENDSHIP.
