Elizabeth II (1952 -), gold proof One Hundred Pounds, Fifty Pounds, Twenty Five Pounds, Ten Pounds, 2001, coins weighing 1oz, ½ oz., ¼ oz, and 1/10 oz respectively of fine gold alloyed with silver, crowned head right, IRB initials below bust for designer Ian Rank-Broadley, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, ELIZABETH II. D. G. REG. FID. DEF. 100 POUNDS., rev. one year design of the figure of Britannia, as guardian, with shield in her left hand and trident in her right, accompanied by a lion and against the background of a wave motif, the inscription "ONE OUNCE FINE GOLD" to the left and "BRITANNIA 2001" to the right, by designer Philip Nathan (S. PGS34-2001). As struck, in original Royal Mint red leather case and certificate of authenticity.

The Latin legend translates as "Queen Elizabeth the second, by the grace of God, Defender of the Faith."
