Elizabeth II 2000 Maundy Set

Elizabeth II (1952-), silver Maundy set, 2000, Four, Three, Two and One New Pence, each with young laureate head of Queen right, legend and beaded border surrounding, +ELIZABETH.II. DEI. GRATIA. REGINA. F:D: rev. crowned mark of value with date either side all within oak wreath (S.4211). Mint state with light tone.

The official Maundy sets were given by the Queen at Lincoln Cathedral in 2000, they are the only current coins issued in sterling silver. The mintage for all four denominations for 2000 would produce 1,686 Maundy sets plus an additional 13,180 issued in 2000 year proof sets.
