DEF, rev. shield of the Royal Arms ensigned by an open Royal Crown, the whole superimposed over a double Rose, ANNIVERSARY OF THE GOLD SOVEREIGN 1489-1989, both obverse and reverse were designed by Bernard Sindall (S. PGS10). As struck, sold with original Royal Mint box and low certificate of authenticity Number 0144.
