Elizabeth II 1982 Maundy Set

Elizabeth II (1952-), silver Maundy set, 1982, Silver Jubilee year, Four, Three, Two and One New Pence, each with young laureate head of Queen right, legend and beaded border surrounding, +ELIZABETH.II. DEI. GRATIA. REGINA. F:D: rev. crowned mark of value with date either side all within oak wreath (ESC 2599; S.4211). Mint state sealed in Royal Mint plastic in original square case.

The official Maundy sets were given by the Queen at St David's Cathedral, Wales in 1982, they are the only current coins issued in sterling silver. The mintage for all four denominations for 1982 would produce 1,218 Maundy sets.
