Elizabeth II 1975 Maundy Set

Elizabeth II (1952-), silver Maundy set, 1975, Four, Three, Two and One New Pence, each with young laureate head of Queen right, legend and beaded border surrounding, +ELIZABETH.II. DEI. GRATIA. REGINA. F:D: rev. crowned mark of value with date either side all within oak wreath (ESC 2592; S.4211). Mint state with light cloudy tone.

The official Maundy sets were given by the Queen at Peterborough Cathedral in 1975, they are the only current coins issued in sterling silver. The mintage for all four denominations for 1975 would produce 1,050 Maundy sets.
