Elizabeth II 1968 Maundy set

Elizabeth II (1952-), silver Maundy set, 1968, Four, Three, Two and One New Pence, each with young laureate head of Queen right, legend and beaded border surrounding, +ELIZABETH.II. DEI. GRATIA. REGINA. F:D: rev. crowned mark of value with date either side all within oak wreath (Bull 4578; ESC 2585; S.4131). Mint state.

The official Maundy sets were given by the Queen at Westminster Abbey in 1968, they are the only current coins issued in sterling silver. The mintage for all four denominations for 1968 would produce only 964 Maundy sets. A great 50th birthday present in 2018!
