Edward VII (1901-10), gold Half-Sovereign, 1909, London Royal Mint, bare head right, DES below truncation for engraver George William De Saulles, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, EDWARDVS VII D: G: BRITT: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP: rev. St George and dragon right, date in exergue, small WWP below lance for William Wellesley Pole, previous Master of the Mint when design adopted, B.P. in upper right of exergue for engraver Benedetto Pistrucci, edge milled, weight 4.01g (Marsh 512; S.3974B). Toned uncirculated.
