Edward VII (1901-1910), gold Sovereign, 1908 P, Perth Mint, bare head right, De S. below truncation for engraver George W De Saulles, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, EDWARDVS VII D: G: BRITT: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP:, rev, St George slaying the dragon with sword, broken lance to lower left, mint letter P at centre of ground line for Perth, tiny B.P. in exergue for engraver Benedetto Pistrucci, edge milled (Bentley 854; McDonald 230; Marsh 201; S 3972).Toned with some light nick, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as MS62.

Calendar Year Mintage 4,875,617.

The Latin legend on the obverse translates as "Edward the Seventh, by the grace of God, King of all the Britains, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."
