Edward VII (1901-10),silver Halfcrown, 1905, bare head right, DES below truncation for engraver George William De Saulles, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, EDWARDVS VII D: G: BRITT: OMN: REX,rev.crowned quartered shield of arms, garter motto in French surrounding, HONI. SOIT. QUI. MAL. Y. PENSE. beaded border surrounding, Latin abbreviated legend in upper half, FID: DEF: IND: IMP:, denomination and date in lower half (Bull 3571 R2; ESC 750; Davies 1513; S.3980).Lightly toned with some light hairlines and marks, has been graded and slabbed by PCGS as MS62, the classic rare date for the 20th Century Halfcrown series.

Mintage 166,008.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Edward the Seventh by the Grace of God, King of all the Britons" and on the reverse as "Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India." With the French motto translating as "Evil to him, who evil thinks."
