Edward VII (1901-1910), gold Sovereign, 1904 P, Perth Mint, bare head right, De S. below truncation for engraver George W De Saulles, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, EDWARDVS VII D: G: BRITT: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP:, rev, St George slaying the dragon with sword, broken lance to lower left, M at centre of ground line for Melbourne, tiny B.P. in exergue for engraver Benedetto Pistrucci, edge milled (Bentley 850; McD 218; Marsh 197; S 3972). Toned with some light nick, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as MS62.

NGC certification 2817519-018.

We note this coin is currently joint top of population at NGC tying with three other examples in a total of 21 records; though there are 50 graded by PCGS of which twelve are finer.

Calendar Year Mintage 4,506,756.

The Latin legend on the obverse translates as "Edward the Seventh, by the grace of God, King of all the Britains, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."
