Edward VII (1901-10), bronze Penny, 1903, closed 3, bare head right, DES below truncation for engraver George William De Saulles, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, EDWARDVS VII D: G: BRITT: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP: rev. Britannia seated right with shield and trident, date in exergue, denomination in words above (Fr.158 dies 1+B; S.3990). Dark tone, with a few tiny specks and spots, otherwise some lustre, uncirculated.
The abbreviated Latin legend on the obverse translates as "Edward VII by the Grace of God, King of all the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."
