Edward VII (1901-1910), gold Two Pounds, 1902, Coronation issue, bare head right, De S. below truncation for engraver George W De Saulles, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, EDWARDVS VII DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX FID: DEF: IND: IMP:, rev. St. George and the dragon right, broken lance to lower left, B.P. in exergue for designer Benedetto Pistrucci, edge milled (Hill T40; S.3968). A highly attractive example with strong mint lustre and good eye appeal, graded by NGC as MS64.
