Edward VII (1901-10), bronze Penny, 1902, high sea level, bare head right, DeS initials below truncation for engraver George William De Saulles, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, EDWARDVS VII DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX FID: DEF: IND: IMP:, rev. Britannia seated facing right on rocks with shield and trident, sea with high tide in background, denomination ONE PENNY above, date below (Freeman 166; S.3990). Toned with good residual lustre and minimal circulation wear, graded by NGC as MS64 Red Brown.

Calendar year mintage 26,976,700.

The Latin legend translates as "Edward the Seventh by the Grace of God, King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."
