Edward VII (1901-1910), gold matt proof Sovereign, 1902, Coronation year, bare head right, De S. below truncation for engraver George W De Saulles, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, EDWARDVS VII D: G: BRITT: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP:, rev. St George slaying the dragon with sword, broken lance to lower left, tiny B.P. in exergue for engraver Benedetto Pistrucci, edge milled (Hill 174A; Bull EGC 1406; WR 408; S 3969). Toned with a few light marks, graded by NGC as PF61 Matte.

Mintage 15,123.

The Latin legend on the obverse translates as "Edward the Seventh, by the grace of God, King of all the Britains, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."
