Edward VII (1901-1910), Matt Proof gold Five-Pounds, 1902, Coronation year, bare head right, De S. below truncation for engraver George W De Saulles, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, EDWARDVS VII DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX FID: DEF: IND: IMP:, rev St George slaying the dragon with sword, broken lance to lower left, tiny B.P. in exergue for engraver Benedetto Pistrucci, edge milled, 40.06g (WR 404; S 3966). A few scuffs, digs and scratches both sides, mainly on reverse, otherwise extremely fine / about extremely fine.

Calendar year mintage of 8,066.

The Latin legend on the obverse translates as "Edward the Seventh, by the grace of God, King of all the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."
