Edward VII (1901-10), bronze Halfpenny, 1902 high tide, bare head right, DE S below for engraver George De Saulles, legend surrounding, EDWARDVS VII DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX FID: DEF: IND: IMP:, rev. Britannia seated right with shield and trident, high tide to right HALF PENNY surrounding, date in exergue, high sea level, weight 5.83g (Freeman 381; S.3991). Nearly full lustre, one small carbon spot on obverse and one on reverse, otherwise lightly toned, good extremely fine.

Mintage 13,672,960 - this figure accounts for all 1902 halfpennies whether high or low tide.

The abbreviated Latin legend on the obverse translates as "Edward VII by the Grace of God, King of all the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."
