Edward VII (1901-10), silver Crown, 1902, bare head right, DeS below truncation for engraver George William De Saulles, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, EDWARDVS VII DEI: GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX FID: DEF: IND: IMP:, rev. St. George and Dragon right, date in exergue, B.P. initials to upper right for designer Benedetto Pistrucci, edge inscribed in raised letters, DECUS ET TUTAMEN * ANNO REGNI II *, weight 28.37g (Bull 3561; ESC 361; L&S 2; Davies 1529; S.3978). A highly appealing example with attractive purple toning in peripheries revealing subdued mint lustre, graded by NGC as MS64, rare in this grade.

Calendar Year Mintage 256,000.

The Latin legend on the obverse translates as "Edward the Seventh, by the grace of God, King of all the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."
