Edward VI (1547-53), fine silver Sixpence, third period (1551-53), facing crowned bust, rose to left, value to right, initial mark Y, linear and beaded circles with large letter legend surrounding, y: EDWARD: VI: D; G; AGL; FRA; Z: hIB; REX:, rev. long cross fourchee over quartered shield of arms, smaller letter legend, POSVI DEV; AD IVTORE; DEVm: y. weight 3.11g (N.1938; S.2483). Attractively toned, just a touch weak on some high points, good very fine and rare so well preserved.
