Edward VI (1547-53), fine silver Shilling, third period (1551-53), facing crowned bust, rose to left, value to right, initial mark tun, linear and beaded circles with large letter legend surrounding, : EVVARD'. VI'. D'. G'. AGL': FRA'. Z': hIB'. REX., rev. long cross fourchée over quartered shield of arms, smaller letter legend, POSVI DEV;. A DIVTOR E;. mEV'., weight 6.03g (N.1937; S.2482). Toned mainly around legend and within smaller parts of design, a few light nicks and weak in some fine detail, otherwise very fine.

The legends translate as on the obverse "Edward the Sixth by the grace of God, King of England, France and Ireland," and on the reverse "I have made God my helper"
