Edward the Confessor (1042-66), silver Penny, pyramids type (1065-66), Chichester Mint, Moneyer Aelfwine, crowned King right, holding sceptre, bust to edge of coin, legend in Latin commences lower left, +EADPARD REX, rev. annulet at centre of voided cross within linear circle, pellet topped from inner circle in each angle, Latin legend surrounding, + ÆLFPINE ON CICEST, weight 1.31g (N.831; S.1184). Toned about extremely fine.
The Latin legends translate as "Edward King " on obverse and on the reverse "Aelwine of Chichester."
