Edward IV, first reign (1461-70), silver Halfpenny, light coinage (1464-70), Bristol Mint, class VII, facing crowned bust, trefoil each side of neck, beaded circles and legend surrounding, initial mark crown, [EDWARD) DI GRA [REX], rev. long cross pattée, tri-pellets in each inner angle, beaded circles and legend surrounding, [VILL]A B RI[S TOW], weight 0.30g (Withers 3; N.1609; S.2071). Toned, struck off centre with part of legend off flan, otherwise good fine for issue and rare.

The Latin abbreviated legend translates as "Edward, by the grace of God, King of England and France, Lord of Ireland" and on the reverse "I have made God my helper," a Psalm from the Bible as well as the inner mint reading "Town of Bristol".
