Edward II silver Farthing London, class 11

Edward II (1307-27), silver Farthing, London Mint, class 11, facing crowned bust in beaded circle, collar with thicker left side, initial mark cross pattee and legend surrounding, beaded outer border, cruder lettering, +EDWARDVS REX AII, rev. long cross pattee, tri-pellets in each inner angle, beaded circles and legend around, CIVI TAS LON DON, weight 0.33g (Withers type 31b; N.1070/1; S.1474). Toned, very fine.

The Latin abbreviated legend translates as "Edward, King of the England" and on the reverse "City of London."
