Edward II (1307-27),silver long cross Penny, Bury St Edmunds Mint, class 11a (c.1310-14), facing crowned bust in beaded circle, broken leaf on crown, initial mark cross pattée and legend surrounding, beaded outer border, angular back to C and E, +EDWAR R ANGL DNS hYB,rev.long cross pattée, tri-pellets in each inner angle, beaded circles and legend around, VILL SCI E DMV NDI, weight 1.27g (N.1061/1; S.1465).Unevenly toned, weak in parts about very fine.
The Latin abbreviated legend translates as "Edward, King of the England, Lord of Ireland" and on the reverse "Town of Saint Edmund"
Older collector ticket with coin appears to be a hand similar to Peter Woodhead.
