Domitian (A.D. 81-96), Silver Denarius. Mint of Rome, struck A.D. 82-3. IMP CAES DOMITIANVS AVG P M, laureate head facing right, rev. IVPPITER CONSERVATOR, eagle standing front on a thunderbolt, its head turned to left and wings outspread, 3.59g., 6h (RIC 144; BMC 52). Broad flan, iridescent tone, about extremely fine and rare.
