Coronation of James II and Mary of Modena, 1685, double obverse mule of the official coronation medals by John Roettier, his bust laureate, armoured and draped right, IACOBVS. II. D.G. ANG. SCO. FR. ET. HI. REX / hers, laureate and draped right, MARIA. D.G. ANG. SCO. FR. ET. HI. REGINA., 34mm (Eimer 273 ad 274; MI i 605/5 and 606/7). Extremely fine with lovely iridescent tone.

With dealer's ticket from the late 2010s stating that the medal was bought from A H Baldwin & Sons in 1986.
