It seems Cornelius Macham became or was also a chandler in Southampton as there is a larger Halfpenny token issued as such three years later in 1667. A William Macham also issued un undated token in Southampton around this time also as a grocer. The Cornelius Macham who issued he 1667 Halfpenny is also noted as being Sheriff in 1686, and the 468th Mayor of Southampton in 1695, he died in 1698.
