Corinth (c. 345-307 B.C.), Silver Stater. Pegasos flying left, koppa below, rev. A-P, head of Athena facing left, wearing a Corinthian helmet decorated with a laurel-wreath on the bowl, aegis with Gorgon's head behind, 8.58g., 9h (Calciati, Pegasi, 427; Ravel 1009). Beautiful old cabinet tone with some blue iridescence, well-struck and extremely fine.
