DEI. GRA. REX. FID. DEF., First rev. Based on the obverse of the original coin- draped bust of King Charles II facing right, with hair in lovelock and laureate, signed Simon below, 'CAROLVS II. DEI. GRA.' Second rev. Based on the reverse of the original coin- crowned cruciform emblematic shields, pairs of interlinked Cs in angles, St. George, and dragon in buckled garter in centre in garter with French motto HONI.
