Charles II (1660-85),silver Penny, undated, first milled issue, crowned bust left, value I in field behind head, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, CAROLVS. II D G M B F & H REX, the only stop appears to be after King's name,rev. quartered shield of arms over cross fleury, initial mark crown, CHRISTO. AVSPICE. REGNO, harp with 6 strings, weight 0.52g (Bull.589; ESC.2273; Robinson p.144: 13, type F; S.3389). Toned, well struck with a hint of wear to high points, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as AU50.

NGC Certification 6946209-007.

The Latin abbreviated legends translate as "Charles the Second, by the grace of God, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland" and on the reverse "I reign under the auspice of Christ."
