Charles II 1681 Sixpence

Charles II (1660-85), silver Sixpence, 1681, laureate and draped bust right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, CAROLVS . II. DEI. GRATIA, rev. inverted die axis, crowned cruciform shields, pairs of interlinked Cs in angles, garter star at centre, two strings to Irish harp, date either side of top crown, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, .MAG. BR. FRA. ET. HIB REX., weight 2.94g (Bull 577; ESC 1520; S.3382). Small mount mark at top of obverse, bottom of reverse, otherwise lightly toned almost very fine.

The Latin legends on this coin translate as "Charles the Second, by the grace of God" on the obverse, "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland" on the reverse.
