Charles II (1660-85),silver Fourpence, 1677, laureate and draped bust right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, CAROLVS. I.I. DEI. GRATIA,a small flaw or stop in between Is of II, rev.four interlocking Cs with emblems, date either side of crown above, MAG. BR. FRA. ET. HIB. REX. weight 1.96g (Bull 624; ESC 1848; Robinson p.147: 49 (i); S.3384).Toned with mint bloom, some raised flaws or breaks, very fine, the Robinson variety claims a colon before I.I, presumably very rare.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Charles the Second, by the Grace of God," and on reverse as "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland."
