Charles II (1660-85), copper Farthing, 1675, laureate and cuirassed bust left, Latin legend and toothed border both sides, CAROLVS .A. CAROLO, rev. Britannia seated left on globe, with shield and spear, holding olive branch, BRITAN NIA. date in exergue, weight 5.32g (Peck 528; S.3394). Struck a little weak and uneven on reverse with some die and flan flaws, slight stain in part of obverse legend and tiny green spot in hair, otherwise toned almost extremely fine, reverse a little weaker, with a very pleasing portrait, rare this nicely preserved.
The Latin abbreviated legends translate as "Charles son of Charles" and on the reverse "Britain."
