Charles II (1660-85),silver Penny, 1674, inverted G in Gratia error, laureate and draped bust right, latin legend and toothed border surrounding, CAROLVS. II. DEI. GRATIA,rev. crowned C, date either side of crown, MAG. BR. FRA. ET. HIB. REX., weight 0.46g (Bull 713; ESC 2279; Robinson p147: 34 [ii], S.3390).Toned, scarce with the error reading, encapsulated and graded by NGC as AU58.

NGC certification 6769180-007. As of July 2024 this is the joint second finest graded example at NGC.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Charles the Second, by the Grace of God," and on reverse as "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland."
