Charles I (1625-49),gold Unite, group D, fourth crowned and draped bust with falling lace collar left, value XX in field behind, Latin legend and beaded borders surrounding, initial mark harp both sides (1632-33), CAROLVS; D; G; MAG; BRI; FR; ET. HIB; REX,rev.crowned quartered oval shield of arms, C&R flanking, legend and beaded circles surrounding, no stops in legend, FLORENT CONCORDIA REGNA, weight 9.08g (Brooker 81-82; cf. Schneider 144-46; N.2152; S.2691). Toned on good metal with a fully centred strike, some light deposit in devices, some wispy hairline scratches in obverse field, otherwise a pleasing very fine with a lesser seen initial mark.

The abbreviated obverse legend translates as "Charles, by the Grace of God, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland." and on the reverse "I reign under the auspice of Christ."

Harp was the ninthmint mark of the reign and was in use from 21st June 1632 until 11th July 1633. The surviving accounts show a crown gold output of £104,805.
