Charles I (1625-49), gold Unite, group B, second crowned and draped bust in ruff left, value XX in field behind, Latin legend and beaded borders surrounding, initial mark castle both sides (1627-28), .CAROLVS. D; G' MAG; BR; FR; ET. HI; REX, rev. crowned quartered shield of arms, FLORENT CONCORDIA. REGNA., weight 9.04g (Brooker 38; Schneider 123; N.2148; S.2687). Toned good very fine.
The abbreviated obverse legend translates as "Charles, by the Grace of God, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland." and on the reverse "I reign under the auspice of Christ."
