Charles I (1625-49), silver Sixpence, Bridgnorth on Severn Mint, 1646, crowned bust left, value VI in field behind, plumelet before face, initial mark B at top, Latin legend and beaded borders surrounding both sides, CAROLVS. D: G: MAG: B: F: ET. HI: REX., rev. Latin Declaration in three lines at centre between ruled lines REL: PROT: / LEG: ANG: / LIB: PAR:, scroll and three plumes above, the central one larger, horizontal line and date below, Latin legend and beaded borders surrounding, initial mark pellet, . EXVRG: DEVS. DISSIPEN: INIMICI, weight 2.98g (Brooker 1132; N.2523; S.3041). Toned a little uneven in shape with some flaws, though well defined and slightly double struck, good very fine and rare.

The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on the obverse "Charles by the Grace of God, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland"; and on the reverse "I reign under the auspice of Christ." The abbreviated reverse Declaration translates as "The religion of the Protestants, the Laws of England, the Liberty of Parliament". The outer reverse legend translates as "Let God arise and let his enemies be scattered."
